Congratulations! Is there a finer sentence in the English language?  It immediately brings out feelings of joy and relief. 

You have succeeded, it says in its joyous voice. 

It doesn’t matter what else is going on in your world, the word will eclipse everything, if only for a moment. 

Today’s congratulations to Jeff and I are courtesy of the work we did on our very first collaborative art piece that Jeff and I submitted for jury review.  We succeeded in following the outlined requirements.  We succeeded in making a draft of our ideas.    We succeeded in choosing materials, colours and putting everything together using a range of techniques to make something truly unique to our studio. 

But most importantly we succeeded in ignoring our inner critics, continuing with our vision and submitted our piece out into the world.   

If no one else has told you today, then let me be the first.  Congratulations to anyone else fighting their inner critic.  I hope you have as much success as we did on this project.
